To provide LED processing for the televised National Television Awards 2019 in the UK that would look exceptional for both the audience watching at home and the audience in the theatre.
Produced by Indigo Television and ITV, held at London’s O2 and hosted by Dermot O’Leary, January 2019 saw the 24th National Television Awards (NTAs) celebrate Britain’s best-loved television programmes and performers.
Reflecting the glitz and glamour of the evening, bespoke video solutions company, Universal Pixels (UP) supplied a stunning Infiled LED backdrop for the stage, controlled by Brompton Technology’s Tessera SX40 4K LED processors.

“Our original decision to invest in Brompton processors was because they’re powerful, flexible and simpler to support in the field than any competing LED processing platform.
So when we were asked to provide a high resolution LED screen for the NTAs, that was shaped to fit behind custom scenic elements and capable of displaying native 4K content, the easy mapping of content and flexible cable topology that comes with the combination of the SX40 and XD units gave us the ideal solution.”
