    Job Summary

    Brompton Technology is in the process of launching a new LED calibration system and has an immediate employment opportunity for a Calibration Support Engineer to join us in our Shenzhen office.

    The role involves attending customer sites to calibrate or profile panels, providing remote support and training to customers using Brompton’s calibration systems, and helping to maintain supporting documentation. The candidate must be adaptable, a team player and comfortable with working to deadlines and changing conditions. Previous experience using LED panel calibration systems is not essential as training will be provided.

    Good communication skills, particularly relating to technical matters, are also required as this is a client-facing role and will often involve acting as liaison between customers and the wider Brompton team. Language skills – specifically both English and Chinese, spoken and written – are highly desirable.

     Key Responsibilities

    • Performing panel calibrations and profiling at customer locations
    • Providing on-site support to customers using Brompton calibration systems, including pre-project visits and day to day support during calibration projects
    • Providing phone and email technical support to customers, including providing pre-project support and information
    • Providing training to, and capturing feedback from, customers using Brompton calibration systems
    • Translating and maintaining supporting documents for Brompton calibration systems
    • Testing new software and providing feedback to the software development team

    Essential Qualifications

    Strong electronic and IT-based technical skills are essential, and ideally experience helping to solve problems over the telephone, via communication apps or in written messages. You will need to stay calm and positive under pressure, as our customers work on the world’s largest and most high-profile shows.

    The successful applicant will be part of a close-knit team in Shenzhen China, and connect closely to our team in London, getting to know Brompton products, personnel, and company culture. Going forward in the post-Covid world, periodic visits to our London headquarters are also expected, to stay current with the latest developments. Frequent travels throughout China and beyond will be a feature of this position.

    The requirements of this role include visiting customer and end-user premises to provide on-site support such as resolving technical issues and leading product/feature demonstrations. This role will also coordinate with the local and the wider international support teams to handle issues such as RMAs and other daily admin duties.

    Training on Brompton products will be provided, but a strong underlying technical understanding is necessary. Experience in a technical role within the audio/video industry is ideal but not essential, particularly if you have a keen amateur interest in the field of audio/video.

    Job Summary

    The Social Media & Marketing Assistant is a new position within our Brompton Technology marketing team. The successful candidate will support the Brompton Marketing Manager’s and wider Brompton Marketing team, focusing on the brand’s rapidly expanding social channels and taking on specific social marketing projects, as well as helping with day- to-day marketing admin tasks that the brand requires as it undergoes a period of rapid growth.

    The role would particularly suit someone who has completed a Digital Marketing or Social Media qualification with some in-house experience.     Key Responsibilities

    • Assist the Brompton Marketing Managers in a diverse range of Marketing activities as and when required including:
    • Social Media:
      • Manage and grow Brompton’s social media presence in accordance with an established communications plan and social media guidelines, using a social media management platform
      • Produce a content plan for Social Media efforts in collaboration with the Marketing Managers. Write & schedule posts
      • Social listening to track, analyse and respond appropriately to comments and engagement across all social media platforms

    • General:
      • Work with the Marketing Managers on a variety of marketing administration tasks to keep department running smoothly, including updating project & campaign spreadsheets, maintaining filing systems (Sharepoint), keeping meeting minutes, raising Purchase Orders & managing invoices and payments, providing insight into PR coverage received etc.

    Job Summary

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the production of a division of products within Carallon’s Manufacturing operation, where the production process involves mechanical assembly, testing, and quality control. This position is ideally suited to those with prior experience of running a final assembly electro-mechanical production environment, though specific training on internal systems and processes will be provided.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise a team delivering one of Carallon’s controller product ranges
    • Attend regular Manufacturing Management, Parts and Supply, R&D and Scheduling meetings
    • Schedule a Production Team involving line managing several members
    • Work with Senior Manufacturing Engineers to ensure Documentation for Production Processes is kept accurate and up-to-date
    • Overseeing and resolving quality issues with suppliers demanding corrective action
    • Overseeing and resolving tools/process improvements with internal R&D team
    • Feedback on delivery schedule to Operations teams
    • Ensure Health and Safety, Staff Training and Equipment Maintenance is all in good order
    • Respond to Customer queries on schedule or quality

    Essential Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering or business as well as a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant manufacturing sector
    • At least 2 years’ experience of Line Management of a team around a production environment
    • Experience managing time effectively, prioritising conflicting tasks as appropriate, both for yourself and those you manage
    • Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems
    • Strong communication, organisational and empathic people skills
    • Operate on strategic levels whilst also being prepared to understand the practicalities of tasks involved
    • Able to act as a conduit of information, between different teams and levels of seniority, to ensure that each team-member understands their own priorities and how they connect to the company’s strategic goals
    • Be able to follow design guidelines, instructions and mechanical drawings, as well as maintain such documents for new products
    • Understanding of the implications of Compliance and relevant standards to production such as standard UL 62368-1
    • Be confident taking responsibility for the consistent quality of products manufactured
    • Demonstrate a good understanding of electronics and experience of its practical applications
    • Understand product test cycles and be able to balance workload and provide flexibility to meet changing priorities based on incoming orders
    • Excellent written communication, able to produce regular reports and updates adjusted for the a range of different audiences, as well as create and update company documentation
    • Able to represent the Director of Manufacturing from time to time at key meetings

    Job Summary

    The Logistics Assistant will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day movement of physical goods. This will include receiving, checking and recording goods in, and picking, packing and shipping goods out.

    The position involves physical duties and administration tasks so the successful candidate must show a willingness to work independently as well as part of the operations team.

    They will ensure that warehouse stock areas are kept neat and orderly and help maintain the inventory of finished products via regular stock checks. They will assist the sales coordinators and ensure sales orders and RMAs are shipped to plan and on time. They will organise reports and maintain shipping supplies. They will also perform any other ad hoc duties and help with the tasks of operations team members when they are time-constrained or on leave.

    The Logistics Assistant will report directly to the Operations Manager and work under the guidance of the Operations Controller, there will also be opportunities for training and career progression.

    Job Summary

    We are looking for a software test engineer to join our team. Primary focus would be on effective manual testing of our industry-leading lighting control and video processing products, however we also utilise automated testing using Squish. We offer a very friendly, flexible and supportive working environment.

    Candidates should be able to manage their own time as they will be involved in testing across multiple projects, working independently but under the guidance of the project leader. Good communication skills are essential in liaising with external clients on clarifying field reports as well as working internally with developers to reproduce reported faults. This position is suitable for those with some prior experience of software testing, but training will be provided on our products and related technologies if not. The ideal candidate will be methodical, with an eye for detail, but will also be able to think creatively to anticipate how customers might use a product and where problems might occur.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Quality assurance testing of new products and software versions prior to release
    • Investigating fault reports to reproduce issues, identify bugs and document them thoroughly in our defect-tracking system
    • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases 
    • Design, develop and execute automation scripts
