Brompton Technology is the market leader in LED video processing for live events, film and television. Its Tessera system is used on everything from huge global world tours to pioneering virtual production and XR studios.
Established in 2012, Brompton Technology is an award-winning manufacturer with headquarters in West London and satellite offices in Los Angeles, Brussels and Shenzhen. The company is a spin-off from Carallon, a serial innovator in the entertainment technology space, which was founded in 2004 by seven engineers who had worked previously at Flying Pig Systems, developer of the Wholehog lighting console range.
Brompton’s first product was the Tessera M2 LED processor, which led to a full range of processing, distribution and receiver card units, including the company’s flagship LED processor, the Tessera SX40. Product and feature designs come from years of industry and engineering experience, with a team dedicated to providing robust, reliable, exceptional service to its partners and end users. The first-ever production M2, bearing the serial number #001001, is still an active part of a rental touring inventory, demonstrating Brompton’s commitment to delivering reliability and great return on investment.
Brompton is at the forefront of technology within the LED video sector and launched the revolutionary Dynamic Calibration approach to LED panel calibration to achieve previously unattainable levels of panel performance. The company has become a globally known and respected brand, winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2020 and a Lumiere Entertainment Technology Award in 2022 for the Tessera SX40 LED processor, among many others. In 2022 Brompton Technology received a £5.1m growth capital investment from Connection Capital, a specialist private client alternative investment business.
